I am pleased to announce the launch of EAI’s web journal, Global NK: Zoom & Connect.
This initiative builds upon our English website "Global North Korea," which has been a valuable repository for resources on North Korea-related issues since 2018.
EAI is committed to being an intellectual hub for strategic and policy analysis on North Korea and the broader inter-Korean affairs. We seek to deepen scholarly research on North Korea and cultivate a deeper understanding of our neighboring state. In pursuit of this mission, we have launched the Global NK: Zoom & Connect, sponsored by the ROK Ministry of Unification.
As we begin this new chapter in enhancing global understanding of Korean affairs and raising awareness of the dynamics of the inter-Korean relations, we invite insights and support from all those who share our interest.

What We Do
Global NK: Zoom & Connect, a publication of the East Asia Institute, is a dynamic web journal platform that amplifies the insights of Korean and international experts on a broad spectrum of issues related to North Korea. Our ultimate goal is to foster the development of a comprehensive and actionable strategy for peace and prosperity of the Korean Peninsula.
We offer four distinct types of publications: commentaries, video commentaries, interviews, and special reports. Our content ranges from timely analyses to in-depth outcomes of long-term research projects. We primarily seek to enhance global access to the insights of domestic experts by delivering high-quality content in English. Additionally, we feature the works of international experts focused on Korean affairs, providing a global perspective on regional issues
